After two successful years we are back again in 2017 ready to invite you to “come see what we do”.
Famed for its jewellery manufacture and artisan makers the Jewellery Quarter lies in the heart of Birmingham. Every day over 6000 people come to work here making and designing some of the finest jewellery, holloware and fine regalia. We make pens, whistles, enamelware, watches, time pieces, we train people at the School of Jewellery and we are home to the Assay Office. Alongside the metal trades there is a growing number of makers and designers that call the Jewellery Quarter home.
Over the weekend of the 29th and 30th July we will again be opening our studio and workshop doors and welcoming you in. Leather workers, film makers, chocolatiers, jewellery designers and makers, tapestry makers, fine artists, Galleries, make-up artists, fashion designers, architects, brewers and many more will be open for you to visit.
Over the next weeks we will be writing about each participant but until then here is a link to our JQ Micros site which interviewed 13 Makers for Micro Business Matters day earlier in the year.
